Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Harmony General Trading LLC ("Harmony", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data through harmonygt.ae (the "website") and when you contact us. We process personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and, where it applies to visitors from the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

Harmony General Trading LLC is the controller of your personal data. We are a limited liability company registered in Dubai under commercial licence No. 589175, issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism. Our registered office is Office 31-A, Arenco Marlin Investment Building, Al Murraqabat, Deira, P.O. Box 398, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

What we collect

Information you give us

Enquiry forms: your name, business email address, phone number with country code, the product or service you select, your message and, on the contact form, your confirmation of the statement next to the checkbox.
Emails and calls: whatever you choose to share when you write to us or call us.
Counterparty checks: if you move towards a transaction with us, the company documents and identification details we need for know-your-customer, sanctions and anti-money-laundering checks. We tell you what we need at that stage.

Information collected automatically

The page you sent an enquiry from and the time it was sent, so we know what you were reading.
Your IP address, used briefly to protect our forms against spam and abuse by limiting how many enquiries one address can send. It is kept in memory for no longer than ten minutes and is not stored with your enquiry.
Server logs kept by our hosting providers — IP address, browser type, the page requested, date and time — used for security and troubleshooting and kept for a limited period.

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, we do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell personal data.

Why we use it and on what basis

To reply to your enquiry and prepare an offer — because you asked us to take these steps before a possible contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
To check counterparties before any transaction — because UAE anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist financing and sanctions laws require it, and because we have a legitimate interest in trading safely.
To keep the website and our systems secure — our legitimate interest in protecting them.
Where we ask for your consent, such as the confirmation on our contact form — on the basis of that consent. You may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.

Who receives your data

Service providers who host this website and our content management system and who deliver our email. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Banks, inspection companies, logistics providers and professional advisers — only when this is needed for a transaction you are involved in.
Authorities and regulators — where the law requires us to share information.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.

Market data on the website

The Market snapshot section shows indicative prices provided by TradingView. When you scroll to it, your browser loads that content directly from TradingView. According to TradingView, its widgets do not set cookies, but TradingView receives the address of the page, the widget type, the symbols displayed and your IP address, which it keeps for a short time to protect its service against attacks. Our fonts, images and other files are served from our own domain; we do not load them from third parties.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where this happens, we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards and transfer data only as permitted by UAE law and, where it applies, the GDPR.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to business: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
Counterparty and transaction records: for as long as anti-money-laundering and commercial record-keeping laws require — in the UAE, at least five years after the business relationship ends.
Server logs: for the limited period set by our hosting providers for security purposes.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions set by law, you may ask us to:

give you access to the personal data we hold about you and a copy of it;
correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
delete your data or restrict how we use it;
stop processing your data where we rely on our legitimate interests;
transfer the data you gave us to you or to another organisation;
withdraw any consent you have given.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

To exercise a right, write to compliance@harmonygt.ae. We may need to confirm your identity and will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the UAE Data Office or, if you are in the European Union, to the data protection authority of your country.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection. Enquiries are stored in a system that only authorised staff can access, and our forms are protected against automated submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our measures regularly.

Children

This website is intended for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.
